Open the Data Editor
Legacy support guidance lists three ways to open it:- Click the pencil icon on the right edge of the PowerPoint window
- Use the Data Editor shortcut configured for your version
- Right-click a Grunt object and choose Edit data

Manage overrides in linked objects
If an object is linked to Excel and you edit its values directly in PowerPoint, you create overrides.- Overridden cells are marked visually
- The workbook is not changed
- You can clear overrides to reveal the original linked values again
